Shipping & Delivery Policy

Our Delivery Models: Digital & Physical

At Ubertests, we offer two distinct types of services to meet your needs, each with its own delivery method. It is important to identify which type of test you have ordered to understand the delivery process.

  • Local Lab Testing (Digital Delivery): For these tests, you visit a partner lab for sample collection. We do not ship a physical product. We provide you with a digital lab requisition form.
  • At-Home Collection Kits (Physical Shipping): For select tests, we ship a physical sample collection kit directly to your address.

The collection method for each test is clearly stated on its product page. Please refer to the appropriate section below for details about your order.


Section 1: Local Lab Testing (Digital Delivery Process)

This section applies if your test requires you to visit a local partner lab.

What You Will Receive

Your order consists of a digital Lab Requisition Form, which is the official doctor's order required by the laboratory.

Delivery Method & Timeline

  • Method: Your Lab Requisition Form is delivered electronically to your secure Ubertests account. We will also send a notification to your email address.
  • Timeline: After your purchase, the order is reviewed by an independent physician. Your requisition form is typically available in your account **within 15 to 60 minutes**.
  • Next Steps: Once you have your form, use our lab locator to find a nearby partner facility. Visit the lab with your digital or printed requisition form and a photo ID to have your sample collected.

Section 2: At-Home Collection Kits (Physical Shipping Process)

This section applies if you ordered a test that includes an at-home collection kit.

Kit Contents

Your kit will include all necessary components for sample collection, such as collection tubes or cards, instructions, a biohazard bag for the sample, and a prepaid return shipping envelope or box.

Shipping & Processing Timeline

  • Order Processing: Orders are typically processed and handed off to our shipping carrier within 1-2 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays).
  • Shipping Time: We use standard shipping, which typically takes **3-5 business days** for delivery after the order has been processed.
  • Total Delivery Time: You can generally expect your kit to arrive at your address within 4-7 business days from the time of your order.
  • Order Tracking: You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your order has shipped.

Returning Your Sample to the Lab

Returning your collected sample promptly and correctly is crucial for test accuracy.

  • Use only the prepaid return shipping label and packaging included in your kit.
  • You must ship your sample back on the same day you collect it. This is essential to ensure the viability of the sample.
  • Follow the instructions in your kit to find the correct drop-off location for the designated carrier (e.g., USPS, UPS).

Section 3: General Shipping Information (For Shipped Kits)

Shipping Destinations

We ship at-home kits to all 50 U.S. states. At this time, we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or any international destinations.

Address Accuracy

It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate shipping address at the time of purchase. Ubertests is not responsible for kits that are lost, delayed, or misdelivered due to an incorrect address provided by the user. If a kit needs to be re-shipped due to an address error, a re-shipment fee may apply.


Section 4: Delivery of Your Test Results

This section applies to both service types.

  • Method: Your confidential results will be delivered to your secure Ubertests patient portal. We will email you a notification when they are ready to view.
  • Timeline: Most results are available **within 2-5 business days** after your sample has been received and checked in by the laboratory. Complex tests may take longer. Estimated turnaround times are provided on each test's product page.
