Our Process & How It Works
We've simplified the lab testing process into three easy steps:
- Order Online: Select and purchase the specific blood or urine tests you need directly from our website. No doctor's visit is required beforehand.
- Visit a Local Lab: We'll provide you with a lab requisition form to take to one of our thousands of partner patient service centers across the USA. These are the same labs your doctor uses.
- Get Secure Results: You'll be notified via email when your results are ready. Simply log in to your secure Ubertests.com account to view, download, and understand your results.
Our service is for any adult (18+) in the U.S. who wants to take a proactive role in their health. Whether you're monitoring a known condition, establishing a health baseline, optimizing your wellness, or simply seeking knowledge about your body, Ubertests.com provides direct, confidential access to lab testing.
No, you do not. While testing requires a licensed physician's authorization, we handle that for you. An independent, board-certified physician will review and approve your order, so you can go directly to the lab without a prior doctor's appointment.
No. Ubertests.com is a tool to supplement, not replace, your relationship with your primary care provider. We provide the data, but we do not diagnose conditions or offer medical advice. We strongly encourage you to share your results with your doctor to make informed decisions about your health and create a treatment plan if necessary.
Our services are available in all U.S. states except New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island, due to state-specific regulations. We have thousands of lab locations nationwide, making it convenient to find a center near you.
Ubertests.com offers convenience, transparency, and choice.
- Speed: You don't need to schedule a doctor's visit to get a lab order.
- Price Transparency: You see the full cost upfront. No surprise bills or navigating complex insurance claims.
- Empowerment: You choose the tests you want, giving you direct control over monitoring your health.
About Our Lab Tests
We offer a comprehensive menu of individual blood and urine tests, as well as curated panels that cover key health areas. These include:
- General Health & Wellness
- Heart Health
- Hormone Levels (for both men and women)
- Thyroid Function
- Nutrient Deficiencies (Vitamins & Minerals)
- Kidney & Liver Function
- Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)
- And many more specialized biomarkers.
Absolutely. We partner exclusively with nationally recognized, CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) and CAP (College of American Pathologists) accredited laboratories. These are the same labs trusted by hospitals and physicians across the country, ensuring your results meet the highest standards of clinical accuracy.
Our tests provide the same clinical data your doctor uses, but Ubertests.com does not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Your results show where your biomarker levels fall in relation to established optimal and clinical ranges. A diagnosis can only be made by a qualified healthcare provider who can interpret your results in the context of your full medical history, symptoms, and other factors.
Our tests focus on biomarkers, which provide a real-time snapshot of what's happening inside your body right now—like your cholesterol levels, hormone function, or vitamin D status. Genetic testing, on the other hand, analyzes your DNA to identify inherited predispositions or risks for certain conditions. Biomarker testing is dynamic and can change with diet, lifestyle, or treatment, making it ideal for ongoing health monitoring.
The Lab Visit & Preparation
After you place your order, you can choose from one of thousands of partner Patient Service Centers nationwide. Our lab partners have locations in nearly every community, and you can easily find the one closest to you using our online lab locator.
Preparation is key for accurate results.
- Fasting: Many common tests, like cholesterol and glucose panels, require you to fast for 8-12 hours before your blood draw. This means nothing to eat or drink except water. Specific instructions will be provided with your order.
- Hydration: Drink plenty of water before your visit. Being well-hydrated makes the blood draw process smoother.
- Medications: Continue taking any prescribed medications unless your doctor directs you otherwise. If you take supplements like Biotin (Vitamin B7), it's often recommended to stop 72 hours before your test as it can interfere with certain results.
Just two things:
- Your lab requisition form (which we provide after your purchase).
- A valid photo ID (like a driver's license or passport).
Currently, we do not offer at-home finger-prick kits. For the highest level of accuracy and to support our wide range of tests, all samples must be collected by a professional phlebotomist via a standard blood draw (venipuncture) or clean-catch urine sample at a certified lab. This ensures specimen integrity and the reliability of your results.
Understanding Your Results
Most test results are available within 1 to 5 business days from the time of your lab visit. More specialized tests may take slightly longer. We'll send you an email notification the moment your results are posted to your secure online account.
We believe understanding your health data should be easy. Your results are displayed in a clear, easy-to-read format. You'll see your value for each biomarker, where it falls within the standard reference range, and what each biomarker measures. You can also download a PDF of the official lab report to keep or share.
Yes. While the independent physician authorizes your test order, they do not provide a consultation on your results. However, if a result is in a critical range, the lab will notify the ordering physician, who will then take steps to ensure you are contacted immediately. For all non-critical results, it is your responsibility to discuss them with your own doctor.
The most important step is to share your results with your doctor or healthcare provider. Your data is a powerful tool for starting a conversation about your health. Armed with this information, you and your doctor can make the best decisions for your well-being, whether that involves lifestyle changes, further testing, or a specific treatment plan.
Payment & Account
We believe in 100% price transparency. The price you see on our website is the price you pay. It includes the physician's order and your lab results. There are no hidden fees, co-pays, or deductibles.
To keep our pricing simple and transparent, we do not accept health insurance. This direct-pay model allows us to offer affordable testing without the complexities and surprise bills associated with insurance plans.
Yes! Lab testing is generally a qualified medical expense. You can use your HSA or FSA card for payment at checkout. We also provide an itemized receipt upon request for your records or for reimbursement purposes. We recommend confirming eligibility with your plan administrator.
You can request a full refund for any order that has not yet been processed at the lab. If you have visited the lab and your sample has been collected, we are unable to provide a refund. Please contact our support team for any cancellation requests.
Data Privacy & Security
We take your privacy extremely seriously. We use bank-level encryption and follow industry-best practices to secure your data. Our entire platform is built to be HIPAA-compliant, ensuring your personal and health information is protected at all times.
Access to your identifiable results is strictly limited to you, the certified laboratory staff processing your sample, and the independent physician network that authorizes the test.
Absolutely not. We will never sell your personally identifiable data to any third party. Your trust is essential to our mission. De-identified and aggregated data may be used for internal research to improve our services, but it will never be linked back to you.
